When Did the Lab Appear? Domain Registration Dates for Every Vendor and Lab in This Index
Updated 2026-09-24 · General educational information, not medical advice.
The check in one line: look up when the testing lab's website was registered and compare it to the vendor's. An established testing house predates the businesses it serves, usually by years. A lab whose domain appeared after the vendor it certifies is not an established laboratory yet, whatever any individual report says.
This is the rarest of the checks in our red-flags guide, because almost nobody runs it — and it is also the cheapest. Domain registration dates are public. One WHOIS lookup answers it.
We ran it on every vendor in this index and on every laboratory those vendors point at. All nine dates are below, each one reproducible by anyone in about a minute.
The dates
| Domain | Role | Registered |
|---|---|---|
| janoshik.com | Testing lab | 2016-02-07 |
| growthguys.com | Vendor | 2016-03-28 |
| freedomdiagnosticstesting.com | Testing lab | 2025-02-14 |
| testides.com | Analytical provider | 2025-08-18 |
| greatnorthernpeptides.com | Vendor | 2025-08-20 |
| summitpeptides.ca | Vendor | 2026-01-25 |
| nextedgepeptides.com | Vendor | 2026-02-22 |
| tracehelix.com | Testing lab | 2026-03-10 |
| riptidepeptides.ca | Vendor | 2026-04-20 |
Checked 2026-09-24. Dates are the earliest registration date in each domain's public WHOIS record.
What the ordering shows
Two pairings sit in the right order by years. Janoshik Analytical registered in February 2016, seven weeks before Growth Guys — a laboratory that was already operating before the vendor existed, and which publishes for many unrelated vendors. Freedom Diagnostics registered six months before Great Northern Peptides, and signs Certificates for Summit Peptides as well. In both cases the lab predates the client, which is what independence looks like structurally.
One pairing is inverted. Trace Helix Analytical, which hosts the Certificates published by NextEdge Peptides, registered its domain on 2026-03-10 — sixteen days after the vendor's own domain on 2026-02-22. That does not make any individual report false. It does mean the laboratory has no track record independent of the vendor it certifies, because it did not exist before it.
To be fair to that pairing, two things there do check out and most vendors fail them: the Certificates are served from the lab's domain rather than the vendor's, and entering an invented report number into the lab's lookup returns "No document found" rather than a plausible-looking result. It is a working system. It is simply a new one.
Why "after" matters more than "recent"
A lab being young is not by itself a problem — every laboratory was new once, and Freedom Diagnostics is barely a year older than the vendors it serves.
What the ordering catches is a specific pattern: a vendor that needs testing credibility, and a testing entity that materialises to supply it. When the lab's website appears in the weeks following the vendor's launch, the most economical explanation is that it was created for that purpose. The check does not prove that, and it should not be read as proof. It tells you which claims deserve a second look, which is all any of these checks do.
The stronger version of the same question is the one in our captive-lab guide: how many different, ideally competing, vendors does the lab publish for? A lab with one visible client is grading its own homework regardless of when it registered.
Run it yourself
- Find the domain the Certificate actually resolves on — not the vendor's site, the address in the link.
- Look that domain up in any public WHOIS tool, or run
whois <domain>in a terminal. - Read the creation date. Ignore the 1985 and 1987 dates some tools show: those are the
.comand.caregistry creation dates, not the domain's. - Do the same for the vendor, and compare.
That last step is the one people skip, and it is the one that carries the information. A date on its own means little; the order of two dates is the finding.
